HANGING & TAGGING ITEMS
Make sure you've registered as a consignor and signed up for a time to drop off your items. If you have not, do that here. Keep in mind we have a limited number of consignor slots and drop off appointments.
Print tags by clicking on the "Print Tags" button on the item entry screen or go to the Consignor Information page and click "Item entry/Tag Printing" to login to the main menu. You can print all tags or opt to print a selection. Tags are to be printed on white cardstock.
Pull out all items you'd like to sell and launder everything, treating stains as you go. Iron/steam as needed. For non-clothing items, replace batteries, wipe down with clorox wipes and find all pieces.
Go through your items one by one, entering all pertinent information into each field. See our pricing guide in the Consignor Handbook. Be as detailed as possible in the descriptions.
Cut tags, carefully keeping them in order. Attach tags to items using packing tape or safety pins. Tags go on the right of a garment; hanger opens to the left (see photos below). Do not cover barcodes with tape.
We recommend sorting your clothing by gender and then by size before you get started. Put all other items into groups by category. Believe us, it makes the entering/tagging process faster and helps us a lot when you drop off!
Hang clothing on wire hangers as you enter then into the system, keeping everything in order as you go so that tagging is easier. Hangers must be wire and the garment must be hung so that the hook opens to the left. Package up toys, puzzles, shoes, etc. in ziplocks. See photos below.
Bring all items with you to Riverchase United Methodist Church at your designated drop off time. Drop off is at the Welcome Center. Please write your consignor # on any bins/baskets you bring your items in. Keep in mind that we cannot allow you to return home and bring more back after your drop off appointment.
